Founder and investor behind a portfolio spanning technology, real estate, healthcare and consumer brands — with over $1 billion in assets assembled and five company exits exceeding $250 million. But the most important company I'll ever build is a family.
Dallas, Texas. Operator turned owner. Investor with a founder's scars — and a longer game than the next return.
I spend my days building and backing companies across technology, real estate, healthcare and consumer brands — and the through-line has never changed: find something real, structure it so it lasts, and put my name on the outcome.
Today that means leading M Worldwide, a private investment firm that has assembled over a billion dollars of assets, and serving as a Senior Principal at Clearoute, the brand-and-technology consultancy that has guided category leaders like Sony, Walmart, Nestlé and Johnson & Johnson for more than twenty-five years.
Before the portfolio came the discipline: fifteen-plus years leading enterprise risk and technology at Wells Fargo, Mr. Cooper (Nationstar) and PwC, where I learned to see failure modes before they happen. Educated at SMU and UT Dallas, I still run every venture the same way — protect the downside first, then go win.
Before I am a founder or investor, I am a husband and a father of six.
It is the largest and most consequential part of my days — and the truest test of everything I claim to believe about building things that last. A company, after all, is just a family that chose each other.
So I run the first venture the way I run the rest: with patience, with standards, and with a hundred-year time horizon. Everything on the pages that follow exists, in the end, to leave them — and the generation they belong to — a world with a little more dignity in it than the one I found.
The through-line across every company, every deal and every hire. They are the reason people bet on the next thing before they've seen it.
Real markets, honest numbers, durable cash flow. I build businesses that would survive without the story — then make sure the story is worth telling.
Fifteen years managing enterprise risk taught me that certainty is engineered, not hoped for. Every venture is structured to protect the downside first.
From clean energy to global aid, I invest where profit and purpose reinforce each other. The most defensible businesses are the ones people are proud to build.
I believe the next great institutions won't be countries or corporations as we know them — they'll be borderless, technology-enabled communities built on dignity and trust. A digital nation-state for anyone, of any background, who wants to build a better life. That is the work behind the work.
A private investment firm, a global consultancy, a flagship summit, a social enterprise, and ventures in energy, real estate, healthcare and technology — active and exited.
Across the portfolio, my teams have served — and been recognized by — some of the most demanding organizations in the world.
GoGetTested's COVID-19 response platform was profiled by D Magazine. Good Faith Energy holds REC Installer of the Year and Tesla certification. Clearoute's client roster spans global category leaders across three decades.
Whether you're a founder with something real, an investor who wants access to what I'm assembling, or a producer looking for a voice with substance — this is the way in.
